Kade Janson King was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. He was the only child to two Olympic gold medallists, Vincent King, a swimmer, and Annabelle McGuire, a long jumper. They met at the Seoul Olympics in 1988 and after getting married, Kade was born a few years later. There was never any question Kade would follow in his father's footsteps. Growing up Sydney's eastern beaches district, Kade was 100% a water baby. They had him in the water from just a couple of months old and he was showing signs of being able to swim before he was one year old. His parents always discussed not wanting to push any career on their kid too young, but Kade wanted to be a Olympic swimmer like his dad. And he went on and did just that.
Kade competed in his first Olympics in 2008 in Athens, and he won three gold at those Games. He chased those wins with two more at the London Olympics in 2012, where he broke a world record, which he still holds today. However, he felt like he wanted to step away from the professional sport while he was in his prime and go out on a high. He retired after the 2012 Games, and after two years out travelling the world at his leisure, he came back to Sydney and scored a job as a Lifeguard at Bondi Beach. After their own retirement, his parents bought a resort up the Whitsundays in Queensland, so he figures he always has a free lap of luxury to objectify whenever he needs a timeout from saving lives of tourists on Australia's most popular beach.
Kade is a content and laidback bisexual guy. He has only been in love once, and that person was 'the one that got away'. There were a few other minor relationships throughout his life, but he didn't come close to having the feelings for them of those in the past. He has a serious streak and a staredown-glare that could probably maim if it had physical force. That was most well-known as coming out with him on his complete focus on winning with his swimming, but he has chilled out a lot since he retired from the competitive lifestyle. He found his first death on his watch at Bondi really sobered him and made him take stock of life, and learn not to take himself too seriously life was too short.
He is in immaculate shape, and can be a bit of a gym junkie, but he has to stay that way for the job he does. It's physically demanding and exhausting some weeks, but he enjoys having a few drinks and going dancing in the city on his days off with his mates. He has countless mates, mostly male. The females he knows tend to be lesbians for some reason, a few of which work around Bondi. Kade loves his lifestyle and he can't envisage it changing any time soon. That is to say, until 'the one that got away' is suddenly standing there on Bondi Beach looking like a catwalk model and making it hard for Kade to catch his breath...
